How does Smart Eye Density improve skin density around the eyes?

Skin around the eye area is naturally thin, and as it loses density it can start to look hollow and shadowed. This redensifying undereye serum uses a Growth Factor Complex, delivered through an Oleosomal system formulated for stability, to help visibly rebuild that density over time.

Does Smart Eye Density help with dark circles under the eyes?

Yes — it's formulated to visibly diminish discoloration under the eyes. Sweet Potato Root Extract with CoQ10 helps reduce the appearance of dark circles while firming the look of thinning undereye skin, and antioxidant-rich Niacinamide helps improve hydration and brightness.

Does it help with wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes?

It helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in the eye area. Dehydrated Hyaluronic Acid microspheres penetrate the skin's surface and rehydrate on contact, plumping to smooth the look of lines rather than simply sitting on top of them.

Does Smart Eye Density help with crow's feet and crepey-looking skin?

It's formulated to smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles across the eye area, and application takes it along the orbital bone out toward the temple where those lines are most visible. Because it targets density rather than surface texture alone, it also addresses the thin, lined look that comes with undereye volume loss.

Does Smart Eye Density help with puffy eyes?

Puffiness isn't what this serum is built for. Smart Eye Density targets hollowing, thinning skin and discoloration — the opposite concern to swelling. If morning puffiness is your main concern, a skin therapist can point you to a better-suited product in the eye range.

Is Smart Eye Density a good eye serum for mature skin?

It's suitable for all skin conditions, and it's especially relevant if you're seeing the loss of undereye density that comes with skin aging. Hollowing, thinning skin and discoloration around the eyes are exactly what it's formulated to address.

Is it hydrating enough for dry under-eyes?

Hydration is central to how it works. Hyaluronic Acid microspheres rehydrate on contact for visible volume, and Fermented Polyglutamic Acid boosts hydration while strengthening the skin's barrier — which matters when undereye skin is thin and dehydrated.

Does it help firm thinning, hollow-looking skin under the eyes?

Yes — Sweet Potato Root Extract with CoQ10 helps visibly firm thinning undereye skin, and the Growth Factor Complex works to rebuild density where the area looks hollow. Mechanobiology-inspired Rye Seed Extract helps improve the look of skin tone at the same time.

Does Smart Eye Density contain peptides?

Yes. The formula includes Hexapeptide-11 and Oligopeptides 1, 2 and 3, which make up the Growth Factor Complex at the centre of its redensifying approach.

Can I use Smart Eye Density with a retinol eye cream?

Smart Eye Density doesn't contain retinol, so it isn't a substitute for one — it works on undereye density rather than cell turnover. If you're already using a retinol product around the eyes, speak with a skin therapist about how to layer the two for your skin.

How do I apply it?

Dispense a dot onto your ring finger, then tap gently under the eye and along the orbital bone, starting at the inner corner and working outward toward the temple. Use it twice daily, after cleansing and before your moisturiser.

When will I see results?

The plumping and hydrating effect is immediate — Hyaluronic Acid microspheres rehydrate on contact for visible volume. Rebuilding the look of undereye density happens gradually with consistent twice-daily use, so give it time alongside the rest of your regimen.

Is it suitable for sensitive eyes or anyone with allergies?

It may contain soy and/or seed allergens, so review the full ingredient list before use if you have a known sensitivity. dermalogica formulas never use artificial fragrance, though botanical extracts included for their skin benefits can carry a natural scent of their own.
