This is Medik8's signature night cream and the perfect partner to follow a vitamin A (retinoid) serum in the evening. Infused with a multi-blend of ceramides in an optimized ratio to support the skin's surface and improve the look of firmness. Also featuring a multi-peptide complex and fruit-derived antioxidants, the fast-absorbing yet rich and nourishing cream melts on application creating a sumptuous cocoon of hydration while you sleep. Designed to be used after vitamin A, the formula works perfectly after retinoid serums to moisturize skin, leaving the texture of complexion visibly smooth, supple and nourished.

Featuring retinaldehyde (retinal), a next-generation form of vitamin A which is not to be mistaken for the classic form of vitamin A, retinol. In numerous studies, retinal has been demonstrated to be more effective and 11x faster-working than retinol, without any additional irritation.[1,2,3] The hydrating overnight serum-cream visibly addresses signs of aging; improving the appearance of wrinkles, texture and tone.
Potency and optimum power is ensured through a double-layered stabilisation system, which includes a crystal encapsulation that releases vitamin A gradually throughout the night, to protect the skin from becoming overwhelmed at any point. Hyaluronic acid and glycerin also feature to moisturize and hydrate skin, minimizing any dryness. The complexion is left visibly smooth and supple. Crystal Retinal is available in a series of progessive strengths. Crystal Retinal 3 (0.03% retinal) is where most users begin. Medik8 recommend a simple, effective skincare strategy of using vitamin C and sunscreen in the morning and vitamin A at night.

After cleansing in the evening, apply Crystal Retinal 3 over face and neck. After this has absorbed follow with the Advanced Night Ceramide Cream. Crystal Retinal 3 application should be phased in gradually over time. Use twice a week for the first 2 weeks, every other evening for the next 2 weeks, then every night.
